FONGA is the forum for over 300 Angolan NGOs.
Objective:
The FONGA promotes and facilitates cooperation among NGOs nationwide and represents their interests both locally and internationally. FONGA aims to play a facilitating role by organising workshops and seminars on community development and conflict resolution.
Comments:
In March 1997, FONGA co-operated with the American Friends Service Committee in a training workshop for community workers representing about thirty NGOs. The workshop focused on nonviolent means of conflict resolution at the community level.
