    The Peace & Human Rights Network (PHRN) is national non-governmental organization and was founded in November of 1997 in Mogadishu by 21 local and national NGOs from different regions throughout Somalia. PHRN works in peace and human rights promotion in Somalia, with the help of international humanitarian organizations that promote peace and human rights programs. The organization has sub-offices in regions throughout Somalia, with its head offices in Mogadishu. Its members are operational in the following regions: Sanag, Mudug, Middle Shabelle, Banadir, Lower Shabelle and Gedo.

    The goal of the Peace and Human Rights Network (PHRM) is to analyze the conflict situation in Somalia.

    On March 8, 1998, the Peace and Human Rights Network (PHRM) organized a peace demonstration which was attended by 100,000 people. Since then, the organization has been working to pursue similar activities.
